I completed my Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Macewan University. It has always been my greatest passion to help others achieve their wellness goals. I believe that all successful counselling occurs within a safe, trusting, and authentic relationship, which I strive to genuinely cultivate with each encounter. I aim to hold space for my clients so that they can experience their feelings in a safe, non-judgmental environment, allowing for emotional expression, self-connection, and fostering self-compassion and acceptance.

To flexibly meet the needs of my clients, I use an integrative approach that draws from several effective, evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Motivational Interviewing.

I am a compassionate and growth-oriented counsellor dedicated to helping others on their personal life journeys. Having studied and worked in the mental health field for most of my adult life, I have a broad range of experience counselling adults from all walks of life. I am passionate about helping my clients with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, PTSD and trauma, work-related issues, gender identity, sexual concerns, stress, body image, sleep issues, grief and loss, as well as life transitions.

“Wherever you may be on your journey through life, that is where I will meet you to begin the process of healing.” ~ Garrett
