As a Provisional Psychologist and doctoral student in School and Clinical Child Psychology at the University of Alberta, I have received extensive training in disabilities, development, and brain-behaviour relationships. My research focuses on mental health and psychological adjustment following traumatic brain injury in adolescent athletes. Utilizing a biopsychosocial approach, I integrate biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors to foster holistic wellbeing. My practice is grounded in evidence-based techniques and a dedication to compassionate care.

I provide therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and parents with a focus on anxiety, depression, executive functioning, emotional and behavioural regulation, and managing stress. I have clinical experience in medical settings, including the Stollery Children’s Hospital and University of Alberta Hospital, where I supported patients and their families dealing with cancer, burn injuries, and complex medical needs. Additionally, I have training in positive parenting and family interventions to manage children’s behavioural and emotional challenges. The techniques I offer are derived from Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems.
I have formal training in psycho-educational assessments for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and learning disorders, and mental health disorders (anxiety, adjustment). In my assessments, I adopt a developmental, strengths-based approach, providing comprehensive evaluations of cognitive, academic, and psychological abilities with individualized recommendations.
Claire is a provider of the Family Intervention Program at Lumos. The Family Intervention Program provides structured support to help families strengthen communication, set consistent boundaries, and foster deeper connections.
