Danielle has a Master of Social Work designation specializing in Clinical Social Work with a focus on mental and emotional health. Danielle focuses on the relationship and connection we have with ourselves, our family and friends, our community, and the systems that hold us.
Prior to entering the world of therapy, Danielle worked in the areas of housing and addictions, mental health prevention, crisis intervention, and victims services. For the last decade, Danielle worked in schools supporting students, families, and staff with their mental, emotional, and social health. She is very excited to work full time as a therapist for Lumos beginning in September!

Danielle has experience working with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, overwhelming emotions, and stress management. Danielle has an authentic, empathic, and non-judgemental approach allowing her to easily connect with others. Danielle works with compassion and honesty to help clients heal, reflect, and grow.
Danielle uses a variety of therapeutic techniques including EMDR Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Strength Based Therapy (SBT). Danielle is a certified facilitator for the attachment-based Connect Parent program, the restorative justice focused Peacemaking Circle program, and the community driven Violent Threat Risk Assessment (VTRA) protocol.

Danielle is available afternoon and evenings on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays in Edmonton, and Wednesdays in Fort Saskatchewan.
