I am a Masters of Social Work candidate at the University of Calgary, and I am excited and honoured to be completing my Advanced Practicum with Lumos! With a specialization in community-informed health and wellbeing, I believe that the connections we have with others are one of our most important resources, so I am passionate about supporting people in building their social and relational skills.
As the former Pathways Facilitator for the Terra Centre for Pregnant and Parenting Teens, I have experience with parenting, transition planning, career exploration, and barrier reduction. Within that, I have supported young adults with emotional dysregulation, depression, and anxiety. I believe that every person has unique strengths, skills, and passions, and I would love to explore these areas with you to help you accomplish your goals!
I have completed training in dialectic behavioural therapy, and I also use skills from motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am excited to continue to build my skills through my time with Lumos.
